It’s 1992, Ellen Wilson completes the leap from Astronaut to senator and defeats Bill Clinton to become America’s first female president of the United States. The USSR/U.S. have joint missions to Mars along with Helios. The mission takes an unexpected twist when a fourth party, the Koreans is discovered to have already reached the planet, with their astronaut now stranded and struggling. The Mars colony, Happy Valley Station continues to solidify. Things don’t appear to be so happy. Ed remains the untrusting workaholic, Danny still hasn’t forgiven his parents, Daniel is desperate to keep the colony focused and productive. Meanwhile on Earth, Margo’s sharing of top-secret information begins to unravel, Karen’s desire to make something of herself gives her a new sense of purpose and direction. By 1995, Ellen Wilson is forced to reveal her well kept secret, making her the first LGBQT+ president of the United States. A terrible incident rocks the Johnson Space Center and drastically alterers the lives of several people. In the final scenes, Margo is presumed dead by the explosion. We will discover her fate in Season 4.
